How It All Began

Once upon a time, a couple of friends grew up watching Saturday morning cartoons in the bi-cultural borderland between Tijuana, Mexico, and San Diego, California. They didn't know it then, but those cartoons were about to change their lives forever.


You see, these friends were part of a generation of Hispanic kids who grew up speaking Spanish at home and learning English from the TV. They spent countless hours watching shows like Thundercats and Masters of the Universe, soaking up the language and culture of their American neighbors.


As they got older, these friends noticed something interesting: they had a unique perspective on both Hispanic and American culture. They could see things that others couldn't and understand things that others struggled to grasp. They realized that their borderland upbringing had given them a gift, and they decided to use it to help others.


That's how TOTKO was born. A performance marketing agency founded by a team of Hispanic marketing experts with a deep understanding of both Hispanic and American culture.
